Chelsea 2-1 Palmeiras: Follow all the latest reaction from the final in Abu Dhabi as the Blues won the Club World Cup for the first time

Follow live reaction as Chelsea defeated Palmeiras to win the Club World Cup for the first time in the club’s history in Abu Dhabi.

After the European champions were held to a 1-1 draw in normal time, the match went to an additional 30 minutes before Kai Havertz struck the winner from the penalty spot in the 117th minute.

Romelu Lukaku’s header midway through the second half was cancelled out by a Palmeiras equaliser from the spot, after the Brazilian side were awarded a soft penalty for a Thiago Silva handball.

After looking at the replay he comes back onto the pitch and points to the spot!

Chelsea bring the ball down the right wherr Ziyech chips a cross into the box. Havertz thinks he’s going to head it into the back of the net but Rocha jumps in front of him and nods the ball behind for a corner!

Another defensively header sees the ball come over to Chelsea’s right side where it’s collected by Ziyech. He sends yet another cross to the back post, Weverton comes out to claim the ball and gets fouled by Havertz.
