Crystal Palace vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction tonight
Relive all the action live from Selhurst Park
Crystal Palace blew Arsenal away with a comprehensive 3-0 Premier League victory at Selhurst Park to dent the visitors’ top-four hopes and continue their own momentum under boss Patrick Vieira.
Results over the weekend had seen the Gunners leapfrogged by rivals Tottenham in the race for Champions League qualification and they were unable to respond on a night to forget for Mikel Arteta’s men.
Jean-Philippe Mateta and Jordan Ayew put the Eagles in control after 24 minutes and Wilfried Zaha’s second-half penalty added deserved gloss to the score for the hosts, who extended their unbeaten run to seven matches in all competitions and moved up to ninth in the table. 13 mins: Just as I say no one is controlling the game, Arsenal begin to dictate a little more.
Palace’s shape looks excellent when they are not in possession. It is clear everyone knows their roles to within an inch of their position on the pitch. They wait for a moment to pinch it back and take it when it comes.
Arsenal will need to play really well if they are going to win tonight.

Neither team have really been able to dictate the tempo of the match so far. It’s been a 50/50 first 10 minutes or so.

9 mins: Big appeals for handball from the Palace fans as Saka gets back to cut out a cross. It was nowhere near his arm - it hit him on the top of his leg/chest.
Patrick Vieira will like what he has seen from his side so far, though.

Palace are pressing high up the pitch early on and Gabriel is forced into an error as he let’s the ball run under his foot and out for a throw-in to the hosts.

5 mins: Chants of ‘we’ve got Patrick Vieira’ ring out from the home supporters and I think a few of the travelling fans are joining in too. Lovely stuff.
Mateta battering White and Gabriel around at the moment. He is holding the ball up impressively, making it stick with consummate ease.

4 mins: Really good cross from the left by Mitchell which is flicked on but just doesn’t quite drop for Gallagher.
Arsenal then break up the other end but Lacazette’s slide pass is just behind Smith Rowe.
Pulsating start.
Crystal Palace 0-0 Arsenal
2 mins: Mateta finds some space inside the penalty area inside the opening minute or so but the flag has raised as he lays the ball off to Gallagher.
The Arsenal fans being very, very loud but it’s Palace who have started on the front foot as Ramsdale is almost tackled by Gallagher but manages to hack it away just in time.
