Arsenal vs Olympiacos LIVE: Result and reaction from Europa League fixture tonight
Follow all the action live from the Emirates Stadium
Follow all the action as Arsenal host Olympiacos in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
The Gunners boast a commanding 3-1 aggregate lead from the first leg, when Martin Odegaard gave his side the lead with a fierce long-range shot. A calamitous error gifted the Greek champions a second-half equaliser, however, Gabriel Magalhaes and Mohamed Elneny seized a firm advantage for Mikel Arteta’s side in the final 15 minutes. Arsenal are clear favourites to progress to the quarter-finals, but will still remember the scars of their dramatic exit at the hands of Olympiacos last season, when Youssef El-Arabi scored a last-gasp extra-time winner at the Emirates.
Arteta confirmed that a line has been drawn under Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s discipline breach, which saw the captain dropped for the club’s 2-1 north London derby victory against Tottenham. “We talked, everything has been resolved in a really positive way. So we move forward,” Arteta said. “Everybody has to obviously perform at the highest level to earn his place in the team and there is no exceptions there.” Follow all the action live below:
88’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Close! James accelerates to the byline on the right and lifts an excellent ball to the back post. Pogba meets it, but can only send his header looping onto the roof of the net.
87’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Kjaer cynically fouls Fred and goes into the book. The United man is hurt in the challenge and gets some attention from the physios. After a couple of minutes, he’s back on his feet, but United are managing the final moments well now.
85’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
James sets off on a darting run into the box, but he’s held up before he can get a shot or cross off. He tees up Wan-Bissaka, whose ball into the box is dealt with.
Milan then go up the other end and a cross from Hernandez is almost diverted into his own net by McTominay. Henderson reacts well.
82’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Saelemaekers is given far too much space on the left but his cross is weak. Milan are starting to attack with more urgency now, though.
81’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Ibrahimovic peels away from Maguire and lines up a shot, but the flag is up for offside. Frustration for the ex-United striker.
79’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Milan break down the left and Hernandez’s low cross is well dealt with by Shaw. At the other end, McTominay drills the ball straight at Donnarumma from a narrow angle.
78’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Fernandes goes for goal from the free kick, about 35 yards out. There’s plenty of movement on the shot but Donnarumma is untroubled.
77’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Brilliant work from Pogba. He receives the ball just inside Milan’s half, turns and surges forward, holding off a couple of challenges before being fouled by Dalot. The Milan defender is booked.
74’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Chance! That was nearly the moment for Ibrahimovic. He’s picked out at the back post and towers above Shaw, powering a header at goal and forcing Henderson into a reaction save.
73’ - Milan 0-1 Man United (1-2 agg)
Kessie is again picked out in the box by Calhanoglu but this time glances a header wide.
Milan send on Diaz for Krunic.
