Manchester City vs Monaco as it happened: Sergio Aguero scores a brace as City come out on top
Relive Manchester City's heroic comeback in their eight-goal thriller against Monaco

Sergio Aguero struck twice as Manchester City fought back to beat Monaco 5-3 in a sensational Champions League clash at the Etihad Stadium.
City trailed 2-1 at half-time and 3-2 after an hour of a pulsating last 16 first leg encounter but finished with a flourish to peg back the exhilarating Ligue 1 leaders.
Radamel Falcao scored two and missed a penalty for the visitors while teenage star Kylian Mbappe also got on the scoresheet.
But City, who took an early lead through Raheem Sterling and were controversially denied a penalty themselves, roused themselves when it mattered with late goals from John Stones and Leroy Sane securing victory.

GOAL! Manchester City 5-3 Monaco (Sane '82)
Incredible. Silva chips the ball over Monaco's defence. Aguero rolls the ball across Subasic and Sane taps the ball in for City's fifth.
83 mins: My word. Monaco have lost the plot. They push forward in search of the equaliser and lose the ball, and Silva does very well to spot the run of Aguero, shaping in from the left. He collects the ball and unselfishly chooses to roll it across the face of goal, rather than trying to catch Subasic at his near post again.
Sane runs onto the ball for one of the easiest goals he's ever likely to score. 5-3. 5-3!
86 mins: Joao Moutinho comes on for Bernardo Silva. Sergio Aguero is replaced by Fernando. Four minutes left and City trying very hard to keep the score at 5-3 now.
90 mins: Three minutes of injury-time. City looking very comfortable now, even though Monaco are throwing bodies forward in search of that fourth away goal.
Full-time: Manchester City 5-3 Monaco
And that's it! Man City win an absolute classic 5-3 and will be heavy favourites when these clubs meet for the second-leg in Monaco.
Here's John Stones speaking to BT Sport:

There were a lot of goals. And the three goals we conceded from a personal point of view is something we need to work on.
But we showed great team spirit, great desire and great goals from us as well.
And here's Raheem Sterling:

It was good to be a part of. It was end to end stuff and Monaco gave us a tough game and pushed us all the way. We got the win and that's the most important thing today.
It's always difficult to go down but the boys did really well.
We played our football and stuck to our game and it worked out in the end. At the end of the day we need to tighten up at the back as well.
And that's it from us: what an incredible game and what an incredible comeback from Manchester City. Make sure you keep Wednesday 15 March free, that's when City travel to Monaco for the second-leg of this fixture. And if tonight is anything to go by, it's going to be one to remember.
