Neymar has talked up the prospect of linking up with Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain next season.

Messi will be out of contract in the summer and is set on finally leaving Barcelona after spending his entire career at the Nou Camp, and Neymar wants to reunite after their successful four-year spell together at Barca.

"What I want the most is to enjoy playing with him again," Neymar said following PSG’s Champions League win over Manchester United on Wednesday.

When asked about the prospect of Messi joining PSG, Neymar replied: “He can play in my role, it wouldn't be a problem with me!" And he added: “For sure, next year we have to do it."

PSG are one of the few clubs who could afford to sign Messi, who will continue to demand to be one of the best paid players in world football.

Messi is also thought to be considering another reunion, with his former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and City are the current favourites to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.
