Everton vs Leicester City LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction
Follow all the action from Goodison Park

Follow live coverage as Everton face Leicester City today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.
Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:
Everton vs Leicester City
A massive win for Everton as they beat Leicester City 4-0 at Goodison Park to move ten points clear of the relegation zone. The Toffees were on top from start to finish and it took them just ten seconds to open the scoring. Doucoure ran onto Pickford's long pass and fired the ball past the goalkeeper. Beto then doubled Everton's advantage inside six minutes when he picked out the bottom corner of the net. The striker then grabbed his second goal of the game just before half-time when Garner's through pass found the striker and he cooly converted the chance. Ndiaye added a fourth in the second half, capitalising on more poor defending from Leicester. Ruud van Nistelrooy managed just one shot on target and created an xG of just 0.39. The Foxes fall back into the relegation zone and hosts Arsenal next in the Premier League after an FA Cup tie against Manchester United. Everton created an xG of 2.35 and move above Tottenham into 15th in the Premier League table. They host Bournemouth next in the FA Cup before the final Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Goodison Park. That is all from me. Thanks for joining me and goodbye.
