It took them a while to get going but Pep Guardiola's side were clinical in the last 15 minutes as goals from O'Reilly and Kovacic hand them what might be a crucial win in the race for Champions League, especially given that fellow rivals Aston Villa and Newcastle go head to head in the late kick-off. O'Reilly was exceptional at both ends of the pitch today and in the 84th minute, took his goal like a striker, ghosting into the six-yard box to tap home Nunes' cross. Substitute Kovacic then put the game to bed in injury time, sliding a Gundogan set-back into the bottom corner to score his second goal in consecutive games. They are now undefeated in five league games and host Villa at the Etihad on Tuesday evening. Moyes will have been pleased with his Everton’s performance for the first 75 minutes, as they defended diligently and could have had a couple of goals of their own, first a Tarkowski header against the post and then a goal-bound Doucoure effort that was blocked by Gvardiol. Ultimately though, they did not create enough only creating 0.93xG compared to City’s 2.09. Everton now have a week’s break before they travel to Chelsea in next weekend’s early kick-off. That’s all for today, thank you for following this live coverage and see you next time!

HUGE MOMENT! Marmoush has had a quiet afternoon but he gets the wrong side of Keane who cannot deal with a bouncing ball. The Egyptian gets his finish all wrong though as he can only nudge it into the onrushing Pickford.
