Follow live coverage as Ipswich Town face Brighton & Hove Albion today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Ipswich Town vs Brighton & Hove Albion

The final whistle sounds, and those two second-half strikes prove vital for Brighton as they beat Ipswich Town 2-0 to claim a first win in nine Premier League games! Having had the better of the first-half chances, the hosts began the second brightly, producing 0.29 xG and seeing Burns pull their best chance just wide. Barely a minute later, however, Brighton finally hit the front, as Ayari and O'Riley combined to tee up Mitoma for a simple finish. The Seagulls registered 0.97 xG in total and Joao Pedro and Rutter both spurn good chances to put them further in front, before the latter popped up on the turn from a free-kick to squeeze home their second from close range! A 2-0 victory means a welcome return to winning ways for Fabian Hurzeler's side and they move up to ninth in the Premier League table, while the two-goal deficit means Ipswich drop back into the relegation zone alongside fellow promoted sides Leicester and Southampton.
