It is a battle between the bottom two teams in the league, with Ipwsich on 16 points, and Southampton on six. Kieran McKenna's side have lost their last three domestic matches, including a 4-1 reverse to leaders Liverpool last time out. Only their opponents and Everton have scored less than their 21, which is not a promising look for the Tractor Boys. Their last Premier League win came at the end of 2024, a shock 2-0 victory over Chelsea. It has been four without a win since. Things are more dire for Southampton though, as they are 11 points from safety, and are on a winless run of 13, losing 11. The Saints have been defeated in each of their last six Premier League outings, the most recent one being a 3-1 home loss to Newcaslte. Having scored the fewest and conceded the most at this stage, it is already looking likely that Ivan Juric's charges are set for an immediate return to the Championship.
