Follow live coverage as Ipswich Town face Tottenham Hotspur today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham makes it three wins in a row as they convincingly beat Ipswich Town 4-1 away from home. The visitors found the breakthrough in the 18th minute, as Son found joy on the left and jinked past Godfrey to supply Johnson with an easy tap-in. While the celebrations were muted due to Johnson senior's spell in Suffolk, the groans were increasingly audible for the second goal eight minutes later as the formula remained the same. Son was played in on the left and danced back across the box to find Johnson to roll past Palmer easily. Ipswich did find a glimmer of hope as Hutchinson guided a cute Clarke pull-back into the bottom-right corner before the interval, yet a resounding Spurs performance quickly snuffed that out in the second period. Following a Woolfenden header disallowed for offside, Postecoglou's side supplied a pair of sucker punches as first Spence fired in a deflected effort in the 77th minute before the 84th saw Kulusevski wrap things up with a lovely curler off the inside of the left post. After this outing that saw the visitors comfortably exceed their 1.62 xG, Spurs move to 12th. For 1.13 xG Ipswich on the other hand, they stay in 18th. Thank you for joining us today, we hope you enjoyed the game!
