The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs move the ball smartly, stringing a series of well-placed passes. However, this comes to an abrupt end as Danso is caught in two minds on the edge of the Ipswich box whether to shoot or pass. He opts to pass to Spence, but the ball rolls out tamely.

Cajuste looks to have rolled his ankle. It's a painful one, following Phillips' challenge on Bentancur that sent the Uruguayan landing on the Swede's awkwardly positioned ankle. It doesn't look like he's able to continue.
Ipswich Town vs Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs have started this half with solid possession. They're clearly comfortable at the moment, just slowly edging up the pitch. Saying that, Son is found on the left, before his touch evades him and it's a Palmer goal-kick.

The first half saw Ipswich exceed their 0.89 xG, yet you can't help thinking what the complexion of this game would be like if those early chances had found the back of the net. Indicating a clear and decisive difference, Son's quality has been there for all to see, as he's been the key to unlocking the Tractor Boys' otherwise resolute backline. Spurs have done well to work above their 1.42 xG, and will hope that Son's fine creative eye continues in the second period. With his opponent Godfrey already on a booking, you feel if the hosts don't adapt to the threat, then the game really could be won and lost on that left flank. Will McKenna reshuffle at the break?

Tottenham lead Ipswich 2-1 at Portman Road, as a Johnson double interrupted by a fine Hutchinson strike has taken the headlines so far. Undeterred by their hosts' fast start that saw Delap and Hutchinson force Vicario into two excellent saves as Spurs scrambled off the line, the visitors found the breakthrough in the 18th minute. Son found joy on the left and jinked past Godfrey to find Johnson for an easy tap-in. While the celebrations were muted due to Johnson senior's spell in Suffolk, the groans were audible for the second goal in the 26th minute as the formula was the same. Son was played in on the left and danced back across the box to find Johnson to roll past Palmer easily. Going back on early intent, Ipswich did find a glimmer of hope as Hutchinson guided a cute Clarke pull-back into the bottom-right corner, yet the first period ends with Spurs in the driver's seat.
