Follow live coverage as Ipswich Town face West Ham United today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Ipswich Town vs West Ham United

The final game of the season has not been enjoyable for West Ham and their fans over the past few seasons, losing their last league match in the last three seasons. However, they will be confident today is the day to correct this record as they have lost just one of their last 17 top-flight games against Ipswich (W10 D6), going down 1-0 at Upton Park in March 2001. This is West Ham boss Graham Potter’s second visit to Ipswich Town as a manager, previously winning 1-0 with Swansea in April 2019.

Ipswich have already had their relegation confirmed from the Premier League; so, this is the last time we will see them in the top flight for at least a season. Ipswich will be hopeful of giving their fans a fifth win of the campaign and they will be confident of doing as they have won their final league game in three of the last four seasons (D1). In doing so Kieran McKenna’s side will bring to an end an unwanted stat, Ipswich have lost each of their last eight Premier League home games, their longest losing run at home in their league history.
