The teams are in the tunnel and kick-off will commence shortly at the King Power Stadium. Leicester are unbeaten in their last four home league games against Brentford (W2 D2), having failed to win any of their first eight meetings with the Bees between 1937 and 1953 (D4 L4).

Meanwhile, Thomas Frank also makes one change following last weekend's 1-0 win against West Ham. Sepp van den Berg is ruled out with a knee injury, so Ethan Pinnock comes in for his 200th start for Brentford in all competitions. Kevin Schade, who scored a hat-trick against the Foxes in the reverse fixture starts alongside star duo Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, however, Mathias Jensen misses out from the matchday squad completely. Mbeumo has been involved in 12 goals in his last nine Premier League games against promoted sides (seven goals, five assists), netting three braces in his four games so far this term.

Ruud van Nistelrooy makes one change to the Leicester City team which lost to Arsenal last weekend. Woyo Coulibaly comes in for his full Foxes debut as he replaces the injured James Justin. Further forward, captain Jamie Vardy leads the line with the talisman two goals away from reaching 200 goals for the hosts in all competitions. However, Vardy has never scored in four previous league appearances against Brentford – he’s only faced Cardiff City (five) more often in his English league career without a goal.

Meanwhile, Brentford will be aiming for a fourth away Premier League win in a row when they travel to the East Midlands. Following victories at Southampton and Crystal Palace, Thomas Frank’s side defeated West Ham 1-0 at the London Stadium last weekend. Kevin Schade – who was involved in all four of Brentford’s goals in their 4-1 win against Leicester in the reverse fixture – has scored in each of his last three Premier League away games. The last Brentford player to score in four consecutive away league games was Ivan Toney in December 2020.
Leicester City vs Brentford
Hosts Leicester City come into today’s clash against Brentford aiming to take a crucial step towards Premier League survival. The Foxes have been in horrible form since Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival and have now lost nine of their last ten league matches following last weekend's 2-0 loss at home to Arsenal. Currently 19th in the standings, the home side would climb above Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers if they were to beat Thomas Frank’s Bees, however their King Power Stadium record has been particularly poor, with five straight league defeats without scoring.
