It's very much a case of attack vs defence now. But the defence is coming out on top as things stand. Eriksen sees another shot, this time on his left foot, blocked. And yet another corner is cleared.

GOAL! Tottenham 1-1 Aston Villa (Ndombele)

73 minutes

What a hit! Spurs have ramped up the pressure over the last few minutes, and they get their reward. Eriksen keeps the ball alive from another unsuccessful corner, and his cross is very nearly guided in by Sanchez. Heaton makes a brilliant save, but it's only a temporary reprieve for Villa. The ball comes out to Ndombele on the edge of the box, and the £54m man curls a shot into the far corner.

Tottenham 1-1 Aston Villa

77 minutes

Tottenham are rampant now. Eriksen's introduction, unsurprisingly, has changed the game. And the relief of that long-awaited equaliser has given the hosts a real boost. A second goal seems quite likely at the moment.

Spurs win a free kick just outside the Villa box and Eriksen powers a shot towards the top left corner. Heaton makes another excellent save, stretching to push the ball past the post.

Villa are clinging on for dear life now. First, Sanchez very nearly connects with an overhead kick in the box. Then Alderweireld hits a powerful shot which cannons off the arm of Kodjia. VAR is called upon to check it, but it's not a penalty.

Eriksen, who's creating everything at the minute, picks out Sissoko. He hits a low shot which deflects wide for a corner, and Villa, once again, deal with the set piece.

GOAL! Tottenham 2-1 Aston Villa (Kane)

86 minutes

Spurs complete the turnaround! Villa have looked exhausted in the final stages here, and they can't hold out. The ball breaks into the box and Kane is waiting, ready to latch onto the loose ball. He turns, lines up the shot and rifles the ball emphatically past Heaton from close range. Tottenham lead!
