Tottenham Hotspur fell to a humiliating defeat against a clinical Bayern side in Tuesday night's Champions League meeting.

A second-half Serge Gnabry hat-trick and a Robert Lewandowski brace took the game beyond a Spurs side that led early in the first half.

Mauricio Pochettino's side are now left with just one point from their opening two games in Group B. Follow the latest reaction:

Here is everything you need to know about the game:

When is it?

Kick-off is at 8pm.

How can I watch it?

The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sport Ultimate, and can be streamed online via the BT app.

Team news

Initial fears of an injury to Son Heung-min, after the forward was withdrawn early during Spurs’ win over Southampton, have been dampened meaning new signings Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon remain the only two players unavailable to Pochettino.

Bayern are missing both leon Goretzka and Jann-Fiete Arp through injury, while Ivan Perisic is also a doubt after missing Bayern’s victory at Paderborn through illness. David Alaba has completed his injury recovery and could return to the starting eleven.

Predicted line-ups

Tottenham: Lloris; Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Davies; Ndombele, Winks, Sissoko; Eriksen; Son, Kane

Bayern: Neuer; Pavard, Sule, Boateng, Alaba; Kimmich, Thiago; Gnabry, Coutinho, Coman; Lewandowski

Prediction

Tottenham 1-3 Bayern Munich

Despite a number of iffy performances to start the season, Spurs will raise their level against Bayern and have shown on numerous occasions that they are capable of holding their own against such opposition. However, with the added threat of Coutinho, and Lewandowski in such spectacular form, Bayern should come out on top in a wide-open attacking game.

Kovac on the result:

“It looks like London is a good town for me. It was a great evening for Bayern Munich and German football here on the island. We were lucky in the first 30 minutes. We knew Tottenham would put a lot of pressure on us, that is the mentality of this club. We were too passive and did have some nervy moments. Then we dominated the game. In the second half we performed extremely well."

Kovac: “Of course you are somewhat surprised when you score seven goals. What has to be said though is that all of our shots made it and in our goal Neuer had a lot to do.”

Pochettino: "Now it’s a moment to stay all together. We cannot talk now. Today is a moment where we know how we feel, all disappointed. The feelings are not so good. Now is a moment to be calm. After a result like today, there will be no shouting or talking when the emotion is on the skin.”
