Thursday’s transfer news: Man Utd, Arsenal and Real Madrid rumours as PSG propose Neymar swap
The window remains open across Europe with some big deals ready to be pushed through
Neymar’s Paris Saint-Germain exit looks a mere formality now with Barcelona the favourites, but Real Madrid not completely out of the picture.
Premier League clubs may yet sell some of their players to trim down their squads too: Liverpool’s Dejan Lovren and Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen have been linked with moves away.
Paul Pogba now looks set to stay, despite Real Madrid and Juventus linked throughout the summer.
Paulo Dybala is so far resisting Juventus’ attempts to push him out the door, while the likes of Bayern and PSG continue to look for solutions as they finalise their squads.
Here are the latest rumours and done deals from across Europe.
Transfer deadlines
Italy’s Serie A is the next big transfer deadline. The Italian window shuts on 23 August.
The transfer window in La Liga, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 meanwhile shuts on 2 September.

If Barcelona's players do not entice PSG to sell Neymar, then Real may seize their moment.
Marca claim Thomas Tuchel is particularly fond of Luka Modric and Casemiro.
It remains unclear whether Zinedine Zidane would sacrifice either player to obtain the Brazilian.
Victor Lindelof is close to agreeing a new contract at Manchester United, according to Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.
The Swede was linked with Barcelona earlier this year, but after starting up a fresh, promising partnership with Harry Maguire, Lindelof looks set to be rewarded.
His current terms of £75,000 per week could be doubled to £150,000 per week until 2025.
Bayern will revive their interest in Leroy Sane, despite the Man City star suffering a knee injury.
Bild report Bayern will return next summer, but less than the proposed €145m they would have had to pay this year.
With Sane's deal expiring in 2021, Bayern could get the player at a knockdown rate, but now there is the risk of an extension before next summer.
Manchester United opted against signing Bruno Fernandes due to concerns over his ability on the ball.
The Sporting star was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this summer.
But the Mail say United felt he was too careless in possession and gave it away too often to be worth the investment.
Tottenham Hotspur and Christian Eriksen will sit down again before the European transfer window closes to see if a deal can be done to keep the playmaker at the club.
The 27-year-old’s current contract runs out next year and he had been hoping for a lifestyle change this summer, with Real Madrid his clear preference.
The Spanish side have cooled their interest on Eriksen, however, with manager Zinedine Zidane prioritising Paul Pogba.
Atletico Madrid and Juventus have been mooted as possibilities, but the player’s options are currently limited and there is a willingness to sit down with Spurs again.
Eriksen had been offered to Manchester United, but he had little interest in moving to a Premier League rival currently outside of the Champions League.

Adrian was the hero as Liverpool triumphed over Chelsea on penalties in the Uefa Super Cup in Istanbul.
The Spanish goalkeeper, signed last week after being released by West Ham, made the decisive penalty save against Tammy Abraham as the Reds prevailed 5-4 in the shoot-out following a 2-2 draw after extra-time.
Replays showed Adrian off his line though before the Blues youngster had made contact with the ball though, leading many to question why the spot kick was not ordered to be retaken.

"Rugani? We can't say what will happen with him. To close the agreements, three need to agree."
Paul Pogba has not given up on leaving Manchester United to join Real Madrid this summer.
Marca report Pogba hopes United will be more flexible with their asking price.
They add that Mino Raiola is planning to meet with United imminently to inform them that they intend to leave for the Bernabeu.

Their new No 9 has declared his intent after moving to Andalusia: "I'm going to try my best to give back all the love and affection that has surrounded my move"
Roma have followed Nicolo Zaniolo's extension by extending Cengiz Under's contract until 2023.
