The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Manchester City vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Again failing to retain a lead, ailing Premier League champions Manchester City are held to a 2-2 home draw by Brighton, who twice fought back to earn a merited point. City struck first when Haaland coolly converted an early penalty, but Brighton hit back as Estupinan then fired a free-kick past Ortega. Though the hosts then regained the lead, with Marmoush brilliantly picking out the bottom corner, their visitors made a fast start to the second half as Hinshelwood's goalbound shot bounced in off the hapless Khusanov. Both teams then missed good chances to win an absorbing encounter, with Gonzalez hitting the post and Baleba blasting a gilt-edged opportunity over, and ultimately had to share the spoils. Following four straight wins, the Seagulls were good value for their point, both posting an xG of 2.11 compared to City's 1.77 and defending with great commitment. When club football resumes after the international break, Brighton will host Nottingham Forest and Manchester City visit Bournemouth as the FA Cup quarter-finals get under way. That's all from today's live coverage, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
