Manchester City vs Crystal Palace
Manchester City moved into fourth place in the Premier League after a stunning 5-2 comeback win over Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium. Eze and Richards put the Eagles 2-0 up inside 21 minutes, and threatened to run riot against the champions, with the England midfielder having his side's third goal ruled out for a marginal offside. That decision acted as a turning point, with De Bruyne taking it upon himself to near-single handledly drag his side back into the contest. He pulled one back just after the half hour with a brilliant free kick, and then had a hand in Marmoush's equaliser less than three minues later. It was a performance reminiscent of the City skipper in his pomp, and a reminder of what Guardiola's side will miss when he departs at the end of the season, Just two minutes into the second half, he teed up Kovacic on the edge of the box for a fine finish that completed the comeback, and from here it was utter dominace. McAtee got a fourth shortly after, latching onto a stunning long ball from Ederson, who grabbed a staggering fourth league assist from goal this season. The Brazilian keeper then hobbled off with a groin issue in a slight blot on a near-perfect day for City. O'Reilly capped things off with a fifth goal late on. City's dominance was reflected by an xG of 3.63 to Palace's 2.07 in what was one of the games of the season. Guardiola will be hoping this win can act as a catalyst for the run-in, with both Champions League qualficiation and the FA Cup still to play for.
