Newcastle United vs Fulham
The full-time whistle blows at St James’ Park as Fulham stun Newcastle with a second half turnaround. The Magpies were in cruise control in the first half and deservedly led thanks to Jacob Murphy’s opener, however a stirring fightback in the second 45 from the Cottagers saw goals from Raul Jimenez and Rodrigo Muniz complete the comeback and give Marco Silva’s side their first win at Tyneside in 16 years. The visitors’ dominance after the interval was reflected through their xG of 1.64, while Eddie Howe’s side struggled in the final third with an xG of 0.91. The victory moves the west Londoners into ninth place, while the Geordies remain outside the top four places on goal difference. Thanks for reading!
