Pep Guardiola hails Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany

Follow the latest updates from the Premier League live as Manchester City travel to Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s resources are depleted with Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte both out injured, while Sergio Aguero has complained of exhaustion, but Gabriel Jesus and John Stones are both back and fully fit.

Bournemouth are struggling for form after such an impressive first half of the season, so a shock win against the champions would be a timely boost. Follow it live:

First-half goals for West Ham's midfield pair, one with the head from Declan Rice, one from the spot for Mark Noble, and a solid defensive performance secure a strong home victory.

A proud day for the club with the unveiling of the Billy Bonds Stand, and Bonds was watching on proudly with the sort of steely performances he produced time and again in claret and blue.

Manuel Pellegrini's side are up to ninth; Newcastle remain 14th after Crystal Palace jumped ahead of them with a win at Burnley earlier.

And that's all from us here after a long day of Premier League action.

It started at Wembley with Arsenal holding Tottenham in the hosts' first draw of the season, continued with two battling wins for the Manchester sides and closed with an accomplished West Ham win.

Plenty more to come tomorrow with Brendan Rodgers' first game in charge of Leicester at Watford and a pair of derbies, Fulham and Chelsea battling for West London supremacy before a rather more ill-tempered affair on Merseyside.
