The cost of a replica 2016/17 Chelsea home kit has been met with astonishment on social media.

The Blues today unveiled the strip they will wear next season, with Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek appearing in an awkward video on Facebook in which Hazard made a strip tease joke.

But the laughs ended when Chelsea fans clicked through to details on how they could buy a replica of the new strip.

Those wanting an exact replica of the shirt that the Chelsea first-team will be wearing next term - officially named the Chelsea Home Adi Zero Shirt - will have to pay £90. Want a name on the back? That'll be an extra £10.95. What about the official Premier League badge? Add £5 more.

It brings the total for the shirt to an eye-watering £106.95.

Those wanting to wear the entire strip would have to pay £30 for shorts and £15 for socks, meaning a grand total of £149.95.

The cost of the shirt has been met with derision on social media, with former player Stan Collymore among those to express a view...

Chelsea also offer an alternative version of the shirt which doesn't feature all the technology of the high-end version, costing £50 before names, numbers and badges are added.
