Huddersfield 2018/19 Premier League profile

Huddersfield Town missed a chance to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone when they were held to a 1-1 home draw by West Ham United in an entertaining clash on Saturday.

The result left Huddersfield second-bottom on seven points from 12 games, a point behind Cardiff City, Southampton and Crystal Palace, who were later hosting Tottenham Hotspur.

Alex Pritchard gave Huddersfield a sixth-minute lead with a scuffed shot from 16 metres which somehow trickled past West Ham keeper Lukasz Fabianski before Felipe Anderson levelled for the London side with a fine 74th-minute goal.

Pritchard rued allowing West Ham to get back into the match.

Full Time: Newcastle 2-1 Bournemouth

The only win of the 3pm games goes to Nerwcastle!

Salomon Rondon's double was the key to the win, and despite Jefferson Lerma's header in the sixth minute of added time at the end of the first half, they failed to really put any pressure on the hosts for an equaliser.

Eddie Howe will also be fretting over Adam Smith's injury, but it is Newcastle who record back-to-back home wins.

Thank you for joining us for the 3pm kick offs, which saw Newcastle as the big winners of the day after their 2-1 win over Bournemouth.

The spoils were shared in the other games, but Southampton and Huddersfield were both leading going into the final 15 minutes and will therefore be disappointed not to get three much-needed points on the board.

Leicester were also held by Burnley in what was an emotional affair at the King Power.

Join us in 25 minutes for the late kick-off of the day, which sees a London derby being played out as Crystal Palace and Tottenham lock horns.
