Man City vs Tottenham result: VAR rules out late winner - Premier League reaction from the Etihad
The two sides met in the Premier League late kick-off
Gabriel Jesus was denied a last-gasp winner by VAR as Tottenham Hotspur snatched a remarkable 2-2 draw against champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
The Brazilian looked to have claimed a deserved victory for City right at the death of an intriguing Premier League clash but his late strike was ruled out for a handball by Aymeric Laporte. The scenes as the goal was chalked off were reminiscent of the dramatic ending to last season's Champions League tie between the two sides at the same venue last season.
The ruling made the encounter extra frustrating for City, who had completely dominated proceedings and racked up 30 shots to the visitors' three.

No Goal! Manchester City 2-2 Tottenham
90+4 minutes
VAR, as it did in the Champions League quarter-final between these two, intervenes again! Laporte is adjudged to have handled the ball moments before Jesus scored. City's frantic celebrations are again cut short.
Full time: That's it! A late corner comes to nothing and Michael Oliver blows his whistle. It's greeted by boos from the home fans. City's players are furious, as is Pep Guardiola. VAR will again be the main topic of discussion in the aftermath of this one.
City will wonder how on earth they haven't won this. Aside from the ruled out goal, Guardiola's side had countless chances in the second half to score a third. Their 15-game winning streak is ended, and Tottenham earn a welcome point on the road.
Hugo Lloris, to Sky Sports:
"To be honest I thought it was a goal. It's a bit unlucky for City. Anyone can have a different interpretation of the moment. But we are very pleased with the point.
"I looked to the screen and realised there was a handball which is good for us and unlucky for City but there are many games ahead. For now we just need to enjoy the moment."
I'll leave you with Mark Critchley's report from the Etihad. Thanks for joining me!
