6 min: Albrighton puts the burners on and speeds down the right flank with two Southampton players close on his shoulder. He's eventually dispossessed after isolating himself in the corner but already Leicester are looking the more menacing side.

8 min: Albrighton floats in a lovely ball into the back post with an incoming Mahrez looking to get his head to it. Forster moves quickly from his line and with one out-reached hand clears the danger. City keep up the pressure though as Vardy pounces on a sloppy back-pass from Bertrand. Again Forster is called into action and is forced to knock the ball into touch. It's all Leicester so far.

11 min: Another chance for Leicester. Simpson plays the ball over the top into the path of Vardy down the right. He takes it to the line before cutting the ball back across the box and into Okazaki. He's closed down quickly by Fonte who clears the danger. Leicester throw-in.

13 min: From the throw-in  Morgan of all people finds the ball at his feet in the box. He goes for the shot but can't make a proper connection. It's blocked nonetheless and rolls out for a corner. Fuchs whips it in but it poses no danger to Saints.

16 min: Saints enjoy their first period of sustained possession as Mahrez gets dispossessed in the Southampton half. The ball gets pinged across to Cedric who, under pressure from Albrighton, checks back and recycles the ball across the back four. Saints try again going forward but they can't seem to break down the impenetrable Leicester defence.

17 min: Another chance for Leicester! This time Mahrez is released in behind the Southampton back line. He drifts towards the edge of his box with his fast feet and slots the ball across the box to Okazaki. Once again though Fonte gets a foot to it and the danger is cleared. City keep their foot on the accelerator though. It's now Vardy's turn to play a similar ball into the box - this time from the left - but Okazaki mistimes his run and the ball ends up shooting out from the other side of the box.

20 min: Southampton get in behind the Leicester defence for the first time in the game as Pelle whips in a cross to the near post. Morgan leaps to meet it and nods the ball out for a corner. It's whipped in to a dangerous area and a 6-yard box scramble entails but the ball eventually ends up going out for a goal kick. Danger over.

24 min: It's all Leicester at the moment The ball is being strung about with pace and precision across Southampton's final third with players like Albrighton leading the way as he repeatedly cuts inside to find either Vardy or Okazaki.

26 min: Danny Drinkwater, who impressed in England's fixture against the Netherlands, slots another ball in behind the Southampton defence. Mahrez breaks to meet Fonte beats him to it and with a sliding challenge clears the ball for a throw-in.

Manchester United v Everton:

United’s hopes for a top-four finish have been renewed in recent weeks after a string of encouraging results. Victory in the Manchester derby, in which youngster Marcus Rashford scored the only goal of the game, will have certainly lifted the gloom which appeared to be descending upon Old Trafford and around Louis van Gaal’s head in particular. Things are starting to look up for the Manchester side and at three points off fourth place, the prospect of Champions League football continues to beckon. It seems that Van Gaal’s goose is yet to be cooked.

Man of the moment, Marcus Rashford 

It’s been the reverse story for Everton who entered into a disappointing rut as the club approached the business end of the season. Their “strange” inconsistency as a side, as LVG termed it, has been their Achilles’ heel throughout the season while their dreadful home record has only exacerbated matters. But despite their lack of form, Martinez’s team have been at their strongest on the road this season, winning 22 points away compared to 16 at home. Added to this, they’ve only lost once in their last 14 away fixtures so there will be hope today that the Toffees can walk away from Old Trafford with at least a point.
