16 min: United with the chance! Martial links up nicely with Rashford on the edge of the box who returns the pass to place Martial in space just inside the Everton box. It bounces up in front of him but Martial deals with it well and snaps at the ball to fire his shot across the face of the goal, from right to left. It whizzes past the far left post and heads out for a goal kick.

19 min: Although United have enjoyed the best chance of the game so far it's been a relatively even affair so far. No one team has yet to stamp their authority on the game with both sides enjoying a fair degree of possession. Everton have looked solid at the back, with Stones making his return, while United have dealt with Lukaku so far.

21 min: Having said that, United have just conceded a very foolish free-kick 5 yards out from their box. Baines goes for glory but it takes a deflection off the wall and bounces out for a corner kick.

22 min: Baines again with the set-piece. He launches it the back post to Lukaku who uses his strength to hold off Smalling and get his head to the ball first. He nods it back across the mouth of the goal but it's Marcus Rashford of all people who deals with it.

25 min: After the ball gets launched from left to right, and then right to left, Rojo tries the spectacular with a volley on the left hand side of the Everton box. He doesn't catch it right though and ends up slicing his attempt. Goal kick.

26 min: De Gea is called upon to clear up at the back after Lukaku pounces on a through ball in behind the United defence. The Spaniard rushes out of his box to beat the Everton striker to the ball and sends it flying towards the opposite end of the pitch.

28 min: Rashford earns United's second corner of the game down on the right. Blind fires it in to Martial but he can't manage to get above the ball and his headed attempt ends up soaring straight into the air only to fall back into the feet of Stones.

30 min: Another corner for United after Blind releases Martial in behind the Everton defence with a lovely ball from deep. McCarthy tracks back in time to block the cross and the ball takes a deflection off him to go out for a goal kick.

32 min: After suffering a great deal of criticism lately for overplaying the ball in dangerous positions, John Stones has looked far more cautious with the ball at the back. He's not hesitating on the ball anymore and is opting for the safer options when in the past he's been somewhat more audacious.

36 min: Stones pulls off a world-class, last-ditch tackle to deny Martial a shot on goal. After some superb build-up play the ball gets flicked into the path of an incoming Martial on the edge of the box. He looks clear to take the shot but Stones throws himself in the way and blocks the Manchester man's efforts. A well-timed challenge to deny United.
