50 min: It's another disappointing corner but Everton end up with a free-kick courtesy of a Carrick foul. It's pumped in by Baines but it ends up rolling out for yet another corner. No surprises here, very little happens and the danger is cleared. Both set of fans are clearly calling for more from their two teams.

GOAL! Manchester United 1-0 Everton (Martial, 54 min): Of all the people to score it certainly looked like it'd be Martial. From Mata on the right, the ball was worked to Lingard on the edge of the box who, with a clever back heel, set up an incoming Fosu-Mensah. The United yougnster proceeded to drive into the box and from the right-hand played the ball across the mouth of the goal. Martial was there at the receiving end to tap the ball into the net, after taking a small deflection of the keeper, and give United the lead.

59 min: United are looking slightly more interested now as Herrera gets himself immediately involved to earn his side a corner from the left. Barkley clears but only as far as Mata who rushes back down the left-flank before firing the ball across the box. An outstretched Lingard was inches away from getting a foot to it but the United man couldn't quite get there. Stones managed to get a hold of the ball and hoofed the ball away to clear the danger.Substitution: Deulofeu comes off for Mirallas.

62 min: Barkley gives possession away yet again to hand United a dangerous break down the right. Rashford releases Mata in behind the Everton defence but with the ball running away from him he fails to get his foot around it and his attempted cross ends at the feet of Jagielka. It seems Barkley has inherited Stones' bad habits...

66 min: Short of options, Jagielka goes for another ball over the top to Lukaku. It makes its way to the Everton striker this time but Lukaku can't deal with Smalling's pressure and resorts to conceding a silly foul on the United defender. Everton are really struggling for options at the moment with United's high press restricting the amount of ball Barkley and Lukaku have been receiving.

70 min: Lukaku looks to have found his break in behind the United defence but the flag goes up for offside.  The Everton defender has been too isolated to have any real influence on the game despite his excellent hold up play when he's actually gotten round to receiving the ball. He needs more service and more movement from the players around him if he's to have any real chance on goal.

73 min: After overplaying the ball down the left flank, United look to make the switch ball across to Fosu-Mensah on the right. With plenty of space ahead of him, he drives forward and looks to pick out Rashford ahead of him but he over-hits it allowing Robles to come and claim possession.

76 min: Lingard injects a degree of energy into the game with a powerful run down the centre of the park. But, as with much of United's attacking game, he's left short of options and runs into a brick wall as Jagielka dispossess him with ease.
