43 mins: With half-time fast approaching, Jamie Vardy has a half-chance to end his recent goal drought following neat play from Albrighton and Okazaki, but the once red-hot striker miskicks from 18 yards and the encounter remains scoreless.
45 mins: As three minutes of stoppage time is signalled, the game explodes into life! At one end, Riyad Mahrez's shot is blocked by another unwitting arm, this time Kaboul's, and Anthony Taylor again - correctly - turns down appeals for a penalty, and then at the other, Fabio Borini comes as close to anyone to opening the scoring. Defoe did brilliantly to hold up play in the Leicester box, and when he laid off to his fellow forward, the Italian's strike was deflected towards goal by Wes Morgan where only instinctive reactions from Schmeichel kept the ball out.

Another 45 minutes, and Leicester will be at least a point closer to the Premier League title.
SECOND HALF KICK-OFF: Leicester City, as it stands eight points clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, get the second period underway in the north-east against Sunderland. Neither side have made a change at half-time, and if the next 45 minutes follow the pattern of the previous 45, then one goal may be all that's needed to win.
49 mins: As DeAndre Yedlin launches a ball into the top tier of the home stand from 30 yards, the cameras cut to Sam Allardyce, arms folded and feet up in the dugout. What pressure of relegation?
52 mins: The chancing are coming thick and fast at the start of the second half. Moments after Fabio Borini has thundered a shot inches wide from 15 yards, Okazaki has a chance to cut a shot into the top corner from Kante's pull back but the striker gets his angles wrong. This is a crucial period of the game.
54 mins: Leicester pass up another chance! This time it's Danny Drinkwater, who is found brilliantly by Vardy from the left, who storms into the Sunderland penalty box. The midfielder looks to have taken a decent first touch to control the pass on the run, but it just too heavy and Mannone gets out to smother before Drinkwater can add a decisive follow up.
59 mins: Drinkwater again calls Mannone in action, but this time it's effortless for the Sunderland stopper. The midfielder's side-footed shot from the edge of the box is weak, and would have barely reached the goal had it not been for Mannone's intervention. Both sets of supporters are trying to rouse their team towards a crucial three points.
62 mins: Leicester make the first change of the game, and it's an introduction for Leonardo Ulloa. The Argentine, on for another striker in Shinji Okazaki, was the last-minute matchwinner when the Foxes beat Norwich back in February. More of the same here, and he will write his name into Leicester folklore alongside Gary Lineker, Willie Thorne and Richard the III.
66 mins: GOAL! SUNDERLAND 0 LEICESTER 1:The drought is over, and the dream is on! After six games without a goal, Jamie Vardy has broken the deadlock in textbook Jamie Vardy style. Danny Drinkwater sent a ball over the top and the Leicester striker raced away from Younes Kaboul to move into the penalty area. Drawing Vito Mannone slightly from goal, Vardy kept a cool head to ease a shot into the far corner to send the away support into raptures at that end of the Stadium of Light. They shall not be moved!Sunderland get banged.
