Wolves not willing to sell Neto

Wolves are not willing to let Pedro Neto go this summer dealing a huge blow to Arsenal’s pursuit of the winger.

The Sun says that the Gunners were willing to offer up to £35m for the 22-year-old winger with Wolves demanding at least £50m despite already signing a ready-made replacement in £27.5m Goncalo Guedes from Valencia.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth has confirmed Arsenal are keen on Neto, but could struggle in securing his services telling GiveMeSport: “As far as Wolves are concerned, they’ve got no intention of selling in this transfer window, and their stance is that he is not for sale.

“However, money talks, it just depends if Arsenal were to make that interest formal, how much they would test that resolve of Wolves by going in with whatever money they thought deemed fit for Pedro Neto.”

Bernardo Silva could yet leave Man City

Pep Guardiola has refused to rule out the possibility of Bernardo Silva leaving Manchester City before deadline day.

The 28-year-old Portuguese midfielder is heavily linked with a move to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly had £59m bid rejected by the club.

Speaking after their charity friendly with Barcelona last night Guardiola said: "He is our player. We want him to be with us because he is very important.

"Having said that, I don’t want anyone to be unhappy. But I don’t want him to leave because he is a superlative player. As a player and as a person, he is one of the best I have ever had. In any competition he is the best player.

"If an offer arrives there are seven days left and if Bernardo leaves we would have to go to the market and not it’s easy. Having said that, Bernardo likes Barcelona a lot."
