Summer transfer window 2018: The 10 most expensive Premier League signings

The Premier League transfer window may be shut but there’s still plenty to follow as European clubs look to finalise their plans this summer, while the deadline day fallout continues to be revealed with the details on every move that did and didn’t happen leaking out.

Everton and Fulham got their cheque books out to dominate the headlines, with the Toffees landing Fc Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, as well as Shakhtar Donetsk forward Bernard. They could yet sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on loan, with confirmation yet to come on the late, late talks. Fulham meanwhile broke their transfer record with the signing of Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa for around £30m, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Luciano Vietto, Sergio Rico and Joe Bryan also moved to Craven Cottage.

Then there’s Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who failed to sign anyone on deadline day – the latter becoming the first club not to sign a player in the summer at all since the transfer window was introduced – and we’ll bring you the latest fallout from the disappointing windows.

With the European transfer window still open, we will have all the latest news, late done deals plus all the latest reaction right here so don't touch that dial.

Manchester United have announced that striker James Wilson has left the club to join Aberdeen on a season-long loan.

The forward suffered an injury-hit campaign last year that saw him miss most of the season for United, harming his development in the process as he was unable to leave the club on a short-term deal.

But both United and Aberdeen have announced that he has agreed to join the Scottish Premiership side until the end of the season, which should see the 22-year-old increase his playing time.

Liverpool are ready to listen to offers for defender Ragnar Klavan, with the centre-back no longer a part of Jürgen Klopp's plans this season.

With Joe Gomez fully fit and in the reckoning as a centre-back, Klopp now has plenty of options to select from, with first-choice Virgil van Dijk joined by Gomez, Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the club are now open to selling 32-year-old Klavan, although they are yet to receive any firm offers for the Estonia international.

The saga involving Sevilla's World Cup winning midfielder Steven Nzonzi may finally be reaching its conclusion.

According to reports in Italy, Roma are the side that are said to have won the race for the Frenchman, having reached an agreement of €28-30m plus bonuses with the Spanish club. Should everything go to plan, the 29-year-old, who was also reportedly a target for Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco this summer, will sign a four-year contract following a medical, which is expected to take place today.

Marseille are showing interest in Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny, according to The Daily Mirror.

The additions of Uruguay's Lucas Torreira and Frenchman Mattéo Guendouzi have seen competition for places in the Gunners' midfield increase, despite the departure of Jack Wilshere to West Ham.

The 26-year-old Egyptian, who was an unused substitute in Arsenal's opening-game loss to champions Manchester City, may follow Wilshere out of the Emirates, even though he signed a new four-year contract at Arsenal as recently as March.

The French side are said to be keen on Elneny as a replacement for André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, who joined Fulham for a club record of £30m on Thursday's deadline for British clubs.

The fee regarding the obligation to buy appears to be the sticking point between Paris Saint-Germain and Valencia as negotiations between the two clubs continue for Portugal winger Gonçalo Guedes.

Reports in Spain suggest that the French champions want a sum of €60m to be inserted into the initial loan agreement, however so far their Spanish counterparts are prepared to go no higher than €45m.

However, all parties reportedly remain optimistic of a deal being concluded before the deadline.

Juventus have rejected a €60m bid from Real Madrid for midfielder Miralem Pjanić, according to Tuttosport in Italy.

Having loaned out Mateo Kovačić to Chelsea and with Luka Modrić's future still far from certain at the Santiago Bernabéu, the Champions League winners of the last three seasons are intent on adding another body in midfield.

According to the report, the offer for Bosnian Pjanić was rejected immediately by the Turin club, who are reportedly working to renew the 28-year-old's contract with the Italian champions until 2021.

Pjanić has also been of interest to Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United in recent times.
