Summer transfer window 2018: The 10 most expensive Premier League signings

The Premier League transfer window may be shut but there’s still plenty to follow as European clubs look to finalise their plans this summer, while the deadline day fallout continues to be revealed with the details on every move that did and didn’t happen leaking out.

Everton and Fulham got their cheque books out to dominate the headlines, with the Toffees landing Fc Barcelona duo Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes, as well as Shakhtar Donetsk forward Bernard. They could yet sign Kurt Zouma from Chelsea on loan, with confirmation yet to come on the late, late talks. Fulham meanwhile broke their transfer record with the signing of Andre Frank Zambo Anguissa for around £30m, while Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Luciano Vietto, Sergio Rico and Joe Bryan also moved to Craven Cottage.

Then there’s Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, who failed to sign anyone on deadline day – the latter becoming the first club not to sign a player in the summer at all since the transfer window was introduced – and we’ll bring you the latest fallout from the disappointing windows.

With the European transfer window still open, we will have all the latest news, late done deals plus all the latest reaction right here so don't touch that dial.

Confusion has set in among the German media regarding Sebastian Rudy's proposed move to RB Leipzig. Despite SWR Sport's earlier revelation that the 28-year-old midfielder had left Bayern Munich and signed his contract with Leipzig, SPORT BILD have since moved to deny the claim, stating that there have been no negotiations between the two clubs and therefore no agreement has been reached.

Rudy's contract with the German champions runs until 2020 and does not include a release clause.

AS Monaco may look to Porto's Yacine Brahimi in their bid to replace Inter Milan's new signing Keita Baldé, according to RMC in France.

The 23-year-old Senegalese international joined the Italian side from the French outfit on loan with an option to buy yesterday, and Monaco have wasted no time in seeking a replacement.

The first choice candidate appears to be 28-year-old Algerian Brahimi. The central attacking midfielder's contract does contain a €60m release clause, however it is believed that that figure can be negotiated down.

Gus Poyet's Bordeaux are in talks with League One Sunderland over the loan signing of midfielder Lee Cattermole, according to The Guardian.

The English club are desperate to reduce their wage bill after two successive relegations, and they see loaning out their three highest earners as the best solution.

Cattermole, 30, falls into that exclusive bracket with his £40,000 a week wage, however the French side are currently unwilling to match that sum.

Papy Djilobodji and club record signing Didier N'Dong complete the list, and while the former is in advanced talks with Hannover over a season-long loan move, the latter is still looking for a new club after his move to Italian side Torino collapsed over personal terms.
