Dupraz louses his job

Toulouse coach Pascal Dupraz has left the Ligue 1 side after a string of poor results, the club said on Monday.

"Pascal Dupraz and (club president) Olivier Sadran have decided to end their collaboration this morning," Toulouse said in a statement.

"Mickael Debeve will take the reins of the professional team."

Toulouse are second bottom of the Ligue 1 standings after a 2-1 defeat at Montpellier on Saturday, two points from safety.

Debeve played for Toulouse from 1986-94 and was Dupraz's assistant coach

Chelsea considering Arnautovic move

Chelsea are weighing up a move for West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic, reports ESPN.

The reigning Premier League champions are determined to sign a target man this transfer window and have been linked with moves for Andy Carroll, Peter Crouch and Edin Dzeko.

But ESPN claim that Carroll’s injury mean Chelsea will now switch their attention to the 28-year-old Austrian, who only moved to the London Stadium last summer in a deal worth £25m.

After a slow start to life at his new club Arnautovic has started to make much more of an impact in recent weeks, and has scored a total of six Premier League goals since his transfer from Stoke.

Real Madrid will make a summer move for Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah according to the Egyptian’s national team manager and the country’s football association president.

“There is a real chance he could play for Real Madrid next year,” Hany Abo Rida said. “The Spaniard will make an offer for him.

“Salah is now looking to improve his game. Obviously if an Egyptian plays for a club as popular around the world as Real Madrid, it’s going to be great for Egyptian football.

“It’s is going to be magnificent for Egyptian football.”

Egypt’s Argentinian coach Hector Cuper seemingly confirmed the approach by adding: “I’ve received news revealing Real’s interest, but let’s not rush things.”

Struggling Hamburger SV hired Bernd Hollerbach as coach on Monday to replace the fired Markus Gisdol.

The Bundesliga club said the 48-year-old Hollerbach signed a deal through June 2019 and will be presented after taking charge of his first training session on Monday. The club gave no other details.

Gisdol was fired early Sunday following Hamburg's 2-0 loss to last-place Cologne. It was the team's fourth league loss in a row and left Hamburg only three points from the bottom.

Gisdol had been in charge since September 2016 but never managed to steer the side away from the bottom half of the table. Hamburg — the only team to have played every Bundesliga season since the league's formation in 1963 — finished one point above the relegation zone last season.

While it finished five points clear in 2016, the club needed the playoffs to survive in 2015 and 2014.

Hollerbach, a midfielder who scored 23 goals in 197 Bundesliga appearances for Hamburg between 1996 and 2004, last coached Wuerzburger Kickers. Hollerbach resigned from the team last year when it was relegated from the second division to the third tier.

Eric Dier has stressed the importance of Tottenham holding on to their best players this summer amid ongoing speculation around Harry Kane.

It’s understood Spurs are determined to keep their prize assets, particularly Kane, with the club prepared to reject even a world record bid for their star striker.

Real Madrid have been credited with a strong interest in Kane and the most likely scenario in which he could be sold is if the player indicated he wanted to move.

But there is no suggestion yet that will be the case, as Tottenham look forward to their new 61,000-seater stadium opening next season.

Malcolm to stay

Bordeaux and their new manager Gus Poyet have ruled out winger Malcom leaving the club in January.

The 20-year-old Brazilian is a reported target for north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham but Les Girondins, who appointed former Brighton and Sunderland manager Poyet on Saturday to succeed Jocelyn Gourvennec, are standing firm.

Poyet revealed as he was unveiled to the media on Monday that the future of Malcom was a key topic during his interview for the job.

"I asked straight away if Malcom would be staying or not," he told L'Equipe.

"They said yes. I said OK, now we can continue the discussion."

Club president Stephane Martin reiterated that stance on Monday.

"Malcom, it has been said and said again, he will not be leaving," he said.

"He has said he wants to play in the Premier League one day. That is normal - what player wouldn't want to play in England?

"There is no problem with Malcom."

Norwich sign midfielder

Norwich have signed midfielder Kenny McLean from Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee.

McLean, 26, has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year contract and will head straight back to Aberdeen on loan until the end of the season.

"Norwich has the right feel about it," McLean told Norwich's official website.

"I've met people at the club and it just seemed this was the place for me to come.

"After watching them on the pitch, it seems perfect for the style I want to play."

McLean, who has won two Scotland caps, has scored 18 goals in 135 appearances in all competitions for Aberdeen since joining from St Mirren in February 2015.
