West Ham United vs Burnley
The full-time whistle blows at the London Stadium as West Ham defeat Burnley 3-2 to record a second consecutive win under Nuno Espirito Santo. After a bright start to the contest, it was the visitors who took the lead as Flemming buried a header into the bottom-right corner of the net in the 35th minute. The Hammers equalised just before the half-time break as Wilson reacted fast to plant a header into the bottom corner. Substitute Soucek came on in the second half for the injured Potts and instantly made an impact as he chested the ball over the line at the far post to give the hosts the lead. It was poor goalkeeping from Dubravka, who should have done better with Paqueta's cross. Walker-Peters added a third after coming on as he slotted into an empty net after Dubravka parried Soucek's long-range effort into a dangerous area. The Clarets pulled a goal back in additional time through Cullen, but it was too little, too late. The hosts recorded 15 shots with six on target, highlighted by an xG of 3.02, whereas the visitors generated 16 shots with seven on target, reflected by an xG of 1.24. The result sees West Ham remain in 18th place in the Premier League table, level on points with Burnley who are one place above on goal difference. The Hammers will return to Premier League action after the international break as they face Bournemouth away, while Scott Parker's men host Chelsea at Turf Moor on November 22.
