Follow live coverage as Wolverhampton Wanderers face Brighton & Hove Albion today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.
The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brighton & Hove Albion
Ait-Nouri has been directly involved in more goals than any other defender in the Premier League this season, and he will be looking to add more here against the side he scored late against last time they met. Guedes replaces Bellegarde in the supporting duo in attack, and Semedo captains the home side. For Brighton, they are without their top goalscorer, Joao Pedro, in this game, so Welbeck starts up front. He has nine goals this season, just one behind Pedro, so he is the ‘next best thing’ to replace the Brazilian. Webster replaces club captain Lewis Dunk, so it’s Welbeck who picks up the responsibility of the armband for this game.
