Follow live coverage as Wolverhampton Wanderers face Fulham today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Fulham

A superb start in either half is enough to see Fulham over the line at Molineux as they beat Wolves 2-1. Sessegnon got Marco Silva’s side off to a lightning-fast start after he latched onto Pereira’s clever pass to slot past Sa. Wolves recovered quickly and found their equaliser just before the 20th minute as Gomes unleashed thunderous effort from inside the penalty box that left Leno no chance to make a save. The second half got under way and Fulham replicated their success from the first 45 minutes. Some intricate build-up play led to Muniz running through one-on-one with Sa before delivering a delightful, chipped effort over the goalkeeper from outside of the box to restore the visitors lead. Wolves kept knocking on the door in the second half but were unable to create any serious chances. Fulham converted their chances were scoring two goals from their 1.84 xG, Wolves were unable to muster any real chances of their own producing just 1.22 xG in another disappointing defeat. A tough trip away to AFC Bournemouth awaits Wolves next whilst Fulham will head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United. Thank you for joining us.
