Follow live coverage as Wolverhampton Wanderers face Tottenham Hotspur today in the Premier League. Another top-flight season will be covered in full right here with The Independent, as reigning champions Manchester City look to make it an unprecedented five titles in a row come the end of 2024/25.

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool will be chasing Pep Guardiola's side, but just as fascinating will be the race for Champions League places, with more teams than ever before having designs on top-four finishes. Chelsea remain big-spending, Manchester United's latest rebuild continues and both Tottenham and Newcastle will expect improvements this year - yet it was Aston Villa who snared fourth last term.

Meanwhile, it's Southampton, Leicester City and Ipswich Town who made it back to the elite after promotion last year and each will have hope they can make it more than a one-year stay. Follow the latest live action from the Premier League below:

That's better and quicker from the away side, as Romero plays a positive pass into the path of Johnson in the box who swivels and shoots quickly but it's blazed over on his weaker foot. They need that type of incision to their game.

This is rather aimless from Tottenham. They're keeping the ball but there's no tempo or intensity to their play. So different to the Postecoglou side which started 2023/24 so strongly. They need to find a spark from somewhere.

Wolves aren't allowing Spurs time on the ball when they receive it. Doherty is the latest to be penalised for launching into Maddison when trying to win the ball back.

Tottenham have lost their last two away league games against Wolves, as many as in their previous 12. They last lost three consecutive league visits to Molineux between 1964 and 1968. They're dangerously close to repeating the feat.

Spurs have had 68% possession as we approach the half hour mark of this match. They still haven't really created much of note, though have recovered from a truly appalling start. You get the feeling that there's plenty of action left in this one.

Decent opportunity for Spurs, as the ball is worked to Tel from the left who cuts in and deliver a cross for Solanke but his hooked finish flies over the crossbar. Replays show that the Tottenham striker was found in an offside position.

Wolves seem happy to sit in and soak up any Tottenham pressure, before hitting them on the counter. Apart from the Bissouma effort from range, the visitors haven't really opened the hosts up in terms of intricate play from around the penalty area.

An opening is squandered as Toti outmuscles Solanke before attempting a defence-splitting pass through to Strand Larsen but there's too much weight to it. The striker would have been through on goal if it was successful.

Wolves have avoided defeat in their last 8 matches when scoring first in the Premier League, since a 1-2 loss to Manchester City on 20th October 2024.

GOOD SAVE! Spurs have their first effort on target and it's a thumping hit from Bissouma on the edge of the box which Sa has to keep out with a strong one-handed stop to his right! Spurs are finding their feet now.
