River striker Lucas Pratto equalized two minutes later, sending the ball into the bottom left corner. Forward Dario Benedetto then made it 2-1 to Boca with a header in first-half stoppage time before Boca defender Carlos Izquierdoz scored an own-goal in the 61st minute.

It's the first time the two Argentine teams have met in the final of South America's equivalent of the Champions League and the he match was postponed on Saturday because torrential rain flooded the stadium.

The second leg is at River's Monumental de Nunez stadium on 24 November. Re-live the action:

It looks like the game is petering out here, with both sides struggling to create any notable openings as the game draws to a close.

Benedetto misses a sitter to win it for Boca!

Carlos Tevez breaks away and squares it to Benedetto who's all alone in the box, but his shot is straight at Franco Armani. Good reactions from the goalkeeper but Benedetto shouldn't have given him the chance.

First-half goals from Ramon Abila and Dario Benedetto, either side of a Lucas Pratto goal, put Boca 2-1 up at the break, but an own goal from Boca defender Carlos Izquierdoz means the teams are level heading into the second-leg at El Monumental.

It was a very special occasion at La Bombonera, and the atmosphere is guaranteed to be as incredible in the reverse fixture. Thank you for joining us - see you for the second leg on Saturday 24th November!
