mins: Wales look much more determined at the start of this half following three minutes of constant charging into the Italian defence. However, they lose the ball and Padovani tries to clear, only to slice the ball into touch just inside their own 22.
mins: Penalty right in front of the posts for Wales after the Italian defence kills the ball through Gega, and Halfpenny will go for posts.
Â mins: Halfpenny slots the easy kick and the lead is down to one point. 7-6.
mins: A strange call from JP Doyle as Italy get a big shove on, only to be penalised for turning the scrum too early. It was borderline, and the replays appear to back up the referee actually. Good decision.
mins: Wales haven't been able to build on their good start to the half, and the ball is spilled forward to halt another move. We're checking a tackle, and Steyn is being looked at for a lift tackle on Moriarty. It's a penalty only, but for me that's the first instance of the new punishments having a negative effect as it looked a good tackle, and he hadn't gone past the horizontal.
mins: Halfpenny knocks the penalty over and Wales take the lead! 7-9.
Â mins: Francis has come on and really strengthened the Welsh front row. They pounce of a solid scrum, and with the Italian defence offside Halfpenny will get another chance at goal after Parisse goes too early.
mins: The kick is good and it extends the lead to 7-12.
Â mins: A beautiful Webb break sees the scrum-half offload to Halfpenny, who finds Tipuric. He jinks left before giving the ball to Jones. The move breaks down but Wales are still on the attack down the left wing. Webb spots a gap and goes for it...has he scored?! We check with the TMO...
mins: No try! Replays looked inconclusive, with the TMO deeming the ball was short. I though it was a try, but it was hard to tell and if he can't be sure he can't give it. It's a penalty anyway to Wales for Mbemba being offside, and Parisse is currently getting treatment. There's no keeping him down though and he returns to his side. Wales turn down the kick and go for the scrum.
