The final match of the opening Six Nations weekend saw Wales get off to a winning start at the Stadio Olympico in Rome as they beat Italy 33-7, although the visitors were unable to score a fourth try to secure a bonus point that would have sent them clear at the top of the table. Halfpenny converts, and the score is made all the more funny by referee Doyle hitting the deck while trying to award the try, breaking his whistle in the process. 7-19.

Doyle sticks with his call that both are fair, and he penalises Parisse for his persistent complaining and gives him a very clear warning to shut up of leave the field.
