SWISS Federal Railways reports that 80 per cent of its trains operate no more than one minute late, and 96 per cent run no more than five minutes late.

The latest British Rail Inter-City figures show that 86.9 per cent of its trains arrive within 10 minutes of their scheduled arrival time. BR has no figures for how many arrive within a minute or five minutes of scheduled arrival time.
