THE LOOK AND FEEL

This hotel has a quiet, understated style, rather than screaming out the preferences of the latest in-vogue interior designer. Features like cosy real fires and wooden beams combine with earthy grey and deep Victorian blue walls and lively artworks. Mobiles are not allowed at dinner.

THE FACILITIES

The service here is enthusiastic, professional and attentive, and it's good that the staff are knowledgeable about food and wine choices. There's car parking by the garden rooms. 'The Parlour' is a side room seating 12 and ideal for private dining, parties or meetings.
