OUR REVIEW
THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Whether you want to stroll in one of Rome's great parks (the Villa Borghese), see the famous Spanish Steps or do some serious shopping at Via Condotti, it's all nearby. Other sights, like Vatican City, the Colosseum and the Forum are a bit further away but taxis are plentiful and buses and the metro are nearby.
By plane: direct flights to Rome Leonardo da Vinci from London (2 hours 25 minutes) or Manchester (2 hours 40 minutes). The hotel is a 40-minute drive from the airport. Parking costs €55 per day. Book flights to Rome.
THE LOOK AND FEEL
The décor at this hotel certainly has its fans, but it's not everyone's cup of tea. The liveried doorman sets the scene of grandeur. The perfumed lobby has a towering onyx water feature and lots of original green Cipollino marble, and is lined with armchairs in patterned greys, blues and browns. It also has some odd and classical-style statuary and artworks.
THE FACILITIES
Service is efficient, and there's a multi-lingual reception and concierge. The hotel packs in a number of facilities such as the rooftop pool, spa and state-of-the-art gym with the latest Technogym equipment. There are a number of bar and restaurant spaces to choose from too.
