Hotel Review: Crossing Condotti, Rome

The hotel couldn't have a better location, situated off Via Condotti in the heart of Rome's most fashionable fashion streets. The Spanish Steps are just two minutes away. The historic centre's largest park, the Villa Borghese, and the Trevi Fountain are about ten minutes' walk, as are both Spagna and Barberini metro stops.

By plane: direct flights to Rome Leonardo da Vinci from London (2 hours 25 minutes) or Manchester (2 hours 40 minutes). The hotel is a 40-minute drive from the airport. Book flights to Rome.

With just nine guest rooms, this small boutique hotel located in an 18th-century townhouse feels like an elegant home from home. Simple homely décor is augmented by stylish touches such as antique furniture, sassy textiles, both bold and warm colours and exposed wooden beams.

Service is very efficient and polite, however there are not many facilities. The strengths of this hotel are its great central location and very comfortable rooms. There is no restaurant, but a coffee machine and some soft drinks, beers and snacks in the reception area. There's some seating by the reception desk.

There are nine individually decorated ensuite rooms and two suites. The master room also has a Turkish Bath and sofa, and sleeps up to four. They all feature parquet floors, bold fabrics, artworks and antique furniture.
