The hotel is just north of the exclusive Costa Smeralda on a 15-hectare pine-tree-clad promontory in Baja in the north of Sardinia. The resort has three hidden coves for swimming and looks out onto a small marina. The nearest airport is Olbia, which is a 40-minute drive away. The characterful town of San Pantaleo is a half-hour drive away and has a popular Thursday market selling cashmere, linen and local artisan products.

Local materials and products abound in this hotel. The reception is a separate building at the top of the hill with a sea-view balcony to make you feel like you've arrived. The restaurant and spa reception are decorated with local ceramics and textiles in bright blues as a nod to the sea and sky.
