Jet off to Jamaica

The British Airways sale ends on 25 January, but there are still some impressive bargains to be had – particularly for premium travel. A week at the four-and-a-half star Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica, costs from £1,449 per person, including Club World flights (normal lowest fare £1,669), transfers and all-inclusive accommodation. The price is valid for departures between 25 April and 31 May and extends to free stays for two under-13s sharing a room with their parents. (0844 493 0758; www.ba.com/sale)

Lake availability

Why wait for the daffodils? Take in the wintry landscapes of the Lake District while the peaks are white and deserted and mist hangs over the water. South Lakes Hotels is offering two-night winter warmer breaks at its three properties in the region from £79 per person between now and the end of February. The price includes breakfast on both mornings and one three-course dinner and is available at The Riverside Hotel in Kendal, the Damson Dene Hotel and Newby Bridge Hotel. Dive in

Soak up the sun on the shores of the Red Sea from the Safir Resort in Hurghada, or explore underwater from the hotel's dive centre. Jet2 Holidays is offering a week in the popular Egyptian beach resort – where temperatures are currently hovering around 22C – for £358 per person, including flights departing Manchester on 21 January, transfers and accommodation with breakfast at the four-star hotel.
