Just deserts

Adventure Worldwide has an eight-day tour of Jordan that takes in Petra, the Wadi Rum desert, and the Dead and Red Seas, for £1,295pp. The new tour covers all of the country's top draws, with time in the capital Amman and visits to the ruins of the Roman city at Jerash and Mount Nebo, too. The price includes BA flights from Heathrow, transfers, activities, hotels and some meals (adventureworldwide.co.uk).

Gold rush

Journey Latin America is offering discounted tours to Colombia, to tie in with Avianca's current sale. The airline is promoting its reinstated route from Heathrow to Bogota, which starts on 3 July. The 12-day "Highlights of Colombia" holiday takes in Bogota, Cartagena and the coffee country for £3,050pp, with flights, B&B hotels, transfers and excursions, for travel between July and November. Book by 5 March (journeylatinamerica.co.uk).

State visit

Tick off a triumvirate of US cities in a week-long trip with Trailfinders. The package costs £999pp, including Delta flights from Heathrow to New York for two nights at the The New Yorker, followed by two nights in San Francisco at the Hotel Whitcomb and three nights at Circus Circus in Las Vegas, before flying home. Internal flights included; valid for travel in March (trailfinders.com).

Wheel deal

If you're searching for summer-holiday inspiration, consider Explore's eight-day group cycling tour of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast. The trip visits the stretch from Split to Dubrovnik, stopping at fishing villages and offshore islands. Departing on 14 and 21 June, it costs £1,220pp including flights, B&B hotels, transport and bike hire (explore.co.uk).
