For just £950 return, you fly to Reykjavik and connect to Boston or Baltimore (which also serves Washington DC). There is no minimum stay; date changes are permitted free of charge; and the ticket is fully refundable should your plans change. Better still, you can stop over in Iceland, for example to visit the Blue Lagoon.

You must book your ticket by phone (not online) at least four days in advance and quote "Business Travel Show offer" to qualify.

The airline's other American destinations are available at higher fares: Minneapolis/St Paul looks a bargain at £1,100, compared with the usual Northwest Airlines business fare from Gatwick of close to £4,000. Orlando is also available at £1,400.
