The London International Boat Show offers a fun day out with new launches and activities. Singapore's first casino resort opens January 20, followed by the inaugural Bahrain airshow.

London's boat show is the first major show of the year, predicted to welcome 122,000 guests to see some 400 exhibitors. It is London's 56th annual show and aims to cater to all tastes - from the "Boating on a budget" exhibit to the "Sunseeker Champagne Bar."

Resorts World Sentosa Opens

Singapore
The Festive Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, Crockfords Tower and Hotel Michael will open their doors, offering 1,350 rooms and 10 restaurants. The resort is Singapore's first "integrated resort" - a controversial new effort to increase the country's tourism appeal using casinos.

Inaugural Bahrain Air Show

Devised as a sister event to the influential Farnborough Air Show, the Kingdom
of Bahrain and Farnborough International Ltd have constructed a purpose-built site for this Middle Eastern event. Uniquely, the show has a restricted number of tickets and no exhibition halls - attendees visit luxury "chalets" owned by exhibitors to see products and demonstrations.

Boot Dusseldorf is renowed for being the world's largest and most important boating show. Over 1,550 exhibitors will attend to display some 1,700 boats and yachts. Features include a dedicated hall for diving fans and an exhibit showcasing "trendy sports" such as stand-up paddling, winch waking, skimboarding, kiteboarding, surfing, wakeboarding, and water-skiing.
