From Revlon and Marks & Spencer's inexpensive tweezers to high-end offerings from Shavata and Bobbi Brown, there's a sharp accurate tweezer for precision plucking in every price bracket.

You don't have to spend a lot of money to get good tweezers – you just need to know which are the cheaper good ones. And always pluck in the direction of hair growth and after a bath or shower when the pores are open –  it'll be less painful!

The Bobbi Brown by Rubis tweezers are beautiful and so sharp they come with a little rubber stopper, while the Essence tweezers at £2 are surprisingly efficient pluckers at that price tag. But I've got to hand the top spot  to Laura Mercier by Tweezerman simply because they're the only tweezers I've used for well over 10 years now, and they're practically perfect in every way!
