With Captain America: Civil War and X-Men: Apocalypse now neatly out of the way, it's time to hone in our anticipation for the most intriguing superhero offering of the year, Suicide Squad.

Just to whet your appetite over those remaining summer months, GB Posters has released a new batch of character posters; giving us a better look at Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn, Jared Leto's Joker, and Will Smith's Deadshot.

These posters have all been pretty deliciously stylish so far, helping to amp up the film's general feeling of neon-soaked grime and offering something entirely different to the usual cold, sober superhero fare. You can check out the new posters below; alongside all of the posters released so far, which have each taken a very unique perspective on their design.

We're also getting a stronger look at the rest of the Suicide Squad team here: specifically Joel Kinnaman's Rick Flag, Jay Hernandez's El Diablo, Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje's Killer Croc, Karen Fukuhara's Katana, Cara Delevingne's Enchantress, and Adam Beach's Slipknot.

Everything so far is looking strong for Suicide Squad's opening, with early test screening reactions seemingly being on the positive, though the social media reviews may not be entirely trustworthy.

Warner Bros. confidence in the property does certainly seem to be high, however, with the studio currently considering a whole range of spin-offs, including a Harley Quinn-led ensemble film based on DC's female characters.

Suicide Squad hits cinemas 5 August.
