A new AI bot has been released that roasts people’s taste in music.

Digital publication The Pudding created the ‘How Bad Is Your Spotify?’ bot to “judge your awful taste in music” using “sophisticated AI” trained by Mike Lacher and Matt Daniels.

After users log in with their Spotify account, the bot searches through their listening behaviours and ridicules them.

The mockery includes brutal insults, checking whether the listener was playing songs ironically and a percentage rating of how bad their Spotify is.

One Twitter user was told their Spotify streams were “adult-skateboarder-eyeliner-and-screaming-basic-showtunes-bad” thanks to their obsession with Fall Out Boy and The Book of Mormon.

Another was told: “Oh great, another Phoebe Bridgers stan… You’ve been listening to a lot of Phoebe Bridgers lately. U okay?”

Earlier this month, many users were “embarrassed” as Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton soundtrack dominated their Spotify Wrapped 2020 lists.

You can find out how to make your own Spotify Wrapped playlist here.
